Spread the Word!

Get 5 friends to e-mail the Party Leaders

Election time is an opportunity to tell the party leaders what matters to Ontarians. So far, over 600 Ontarians have made their voice heard. This is only a fraction of those who are affected.

YOU CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Forward this message to 5 friends and ask them to write the party leaders. The more messages the leaders get, the more pressure they will have to take a stand on mental health and addictions. You have the power to make positive change in this province – so take action now!

Writing the party leaders is quick and easy. Visit www.vote4mha.ca today!

Ask a Question at the Leaders’ Debate

The Party Leaders’ Debate is happening on September 27 – and you’re asking the questions! Ontarians can submit questions to the debate by e-mailing CTV at question@electiondebate2011.ca. Send an e-mail today and ask the party leaders: What would you do to improve the lives of Ontarians with mental health and addictions issues?

Toronto Star:
Mental health and addictions have been overlooked in the provincial election campaign

To date, mental health and addictions has not been an issue of focus in the provincial election. Yet 1 in 5 people are directly affected by a mental health and/or addiction issue and almost  everyone in Ontario is impacted through a friend or family member.

Click here to read the September 14 article in the Toronto Star, and here to read the September 17 editorial about why mental health and addictions is a real election issue.

TVO AgendaCamp

TVO and the Agenda is inviting people from the GTA to attend AgendaCamp – a full-day public workshop where you tell them which issues should be priorities in the 2011 Ontario election. The event is being held on October 2nd from 9:30am to 3:30pm in Mississauga. Click here for more information.
